EEDRF History

The inspirer and co-chair of the organizing committee is Alexandre Khrapoutski, partner at Lex Torre Law Office (Belarus). He describe how to organize international annual arbitration forum.

EEDRF has already been proved a representational platform for the annual discussion of issues of dispute resolution in arbitration and state courts of different countries.

SCC Chair Kaj Hobér will speak at the 4th Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum on September 20 in the session "The quest for efficiency: do tribunal and parties play the same game?"

This year the main topic of discussion will be «Procedural issues in International Arbitration and State Courts». VIAC will be represented by Elisabeth Vanas-Metzler (Deputy Secretary General). VIAC-friends are allowed a 10%-discount for participation in the Forum.

This autumn Minsk will host the annual Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum (EEDRF) for the 4th time. Lawyers from all over the world will unite for a few days in order to discuss key topics related to dispute resolution in international commercial arbitration and state courts.

KIAP, Attorneys at Law, was represented at the Forum by Stepan Sultanov, Associate of International commercial arbitration practice. This year, the EEDRF was dedicated to the topic of «Procedural issues in International Arbitration and State Courts».

For the fourth time Lawyers from all over the world will gather at the Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum (EEDRF-2019) in Minsk for a few days in order to discuss key topics related to dispute resolution in international commercial arbitration and state courts

Основной день был посвящен процессуальным вопросам в международном арбитраже и государственных судах: решающей роли арбитражных соглашений, доступных до начала разбирательства, обеспечительным мерам, принципу конфиденциальности и др.

Олег Слижевский обратился с приветственной речью к участникам Международного форума по разрешению споров стран Восточной Европы (EEDRF-2019), который собрал более 200 участников.

Форум начался с семинара, который проводит международная юридическая фирма из Лондона White & Case. Завтра планируется тренинг ICC (Международной торговой палаты).

В белорусской столице продолжает работу международный Форум по разрешению споров стран Восточной Европы (EEDRF-2019), который наша страна принимает уже в четвертый раз. Вчера был самый насыщенный дискуссиями рабочий день для более чем 200 профессионалов из 23 стран.

По мнению члена правления Лондонского международного арбитражного суда, значительную роль в доверии инвесторов к Беларуси играет участие страны в международных договорах о защите инвестиций. Это один из факторов снижения рисков.

This autumn Minsk will host the annual Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum during 20-21 September 2018 under the slogan "Know your expert". The FAI is going to take part in the forum, as the FAI Secretary General, Ms. Heidi Merikalla-Teir, will be speaking in one of the plenary sessions of the forum

Paulius Docka, Of Counsel at PRIMUS, will be one of the speakers at the forum and will talk about practical tips for effective expert conferencing and "Hot-Tubbing" of experts in international arbitration.

This year the Forum will focus on experts and expertise. The issues that will be discussed at the Forum include: choice of experts and novel services they may provide, use of experts by the parties in the most efficient manner, experts from the Tribunal's perspective.

Among the speakers will be over 30 highly skilled experts from Austria, Czechia, the USA, England, France, Russia, Finland, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries.

Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum (EEDRF) is the first and the largest practical Forum, held in Belarus, which unites different jurisdictions.

With FORT as one of its official partners, the inaugural Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum will take place in Belarus on 23th of September 2016

The first Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum was held in Minsk, gathering more than 140 lawyers from the CIS as well as Eastern and Western Europe to discuss practical issues of arbitration and litigation in the region and evolving regulation trends in this field.
